Full itinerary — June 18–22, 2027
  • Fly to New York City and arrive at your hotel in Midtown Manhattan for check-in.
  • Pick-up rehearsal with your group.
  • Group welcome dinner — prepare for your time in New York City.
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Meet your tour manager in the lobby.
  • Meet with the show and artistic director, then enjoy a 90-minute individual rehearsal session exclusively for your performing group.
  • Dinner at Ellen's Stardust Diner — the singing waitstaff will entertain you with popular show tunes throughout the meal.
  • Attend a one-woman stage show performed by the artistic director of the Arts for Autism Concert.
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Morning rehearsal with a Broadway professional in preparation for the benefit concert. All groups will be together working with show directors and actors. Come prepared — wear performance shoes and rehearsal clothing. An Autism Speaks representative will also lead an orientation about autism awareness and performing for audiences that may include autistic children and adults.
  • Lunch break (not included).
  • Top of the Rock Experience — breathtaking panoramic views of the New York City Skyline.
  • Dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Theatre orientation — hear the day's schedule, walk the stage, and review traffic patterns while technicians work on lighting and sound. Come prepared to run partial numbers wearing your performance shoes.
  • Lunch break (not included).
  • Full technical rehearsal at the theatre with all student groups and Broadway cast members starting at 1PM. Full costumes required — no hair or makeup necessary. Students will observe Broadway performers, directors, choreographers, and lighting/sound designers collaborate in a real Broadway production. Come focused, patient, and flexible.
  • Pre-show dinner with all groups and cast members from your Broadway show.
  • Perform in the evening Arts For Autism Concert — your group performs its own number alongside Broadway's biggest stars in an inspiring benefit performance.
  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Visit the 9/11 Memorial at the footprint of the former Twin Towers — a tribute of remembrance to the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. The twin reflecting pools each cover nearly an acre and feature the largest manmade waterfalls in North America.
  • New York Harbor cruise with close-up views of the Statue of Liberty.
  • Visit Chinatown and Little Italy for free time to explore and shop.
